Bobby Spencer Celebration of Life

Jul 23, 2022
Robert Joseph Spencer
September 2, 1973 – July 6, 2022

The only person who can make you better, is you. – Bobby Spencer

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away. – Maya Angelou

Bobby took his last earthly breath on Wednesday, July 6th following a brief illness.
He left behind his loving wife and son, family, and a multitude of friends who are still struggling with the loss.
Though he is no longer in our presence, we believe that his spirit lives on and we will be reunited eternally sometime down the road. This is not goodbye.

In his 48 years, Bobby had a huge impact on so many lives.
Raised in Uvalde, he married Kelly in 2001 and soon settled in New Braunfels.
They welcomed Nathan to the family in 2007 and Bobby’s role as a proud & loving dad was established.
He loved being a swim-dad, camping with his family, boating at Canyon Lake, cheering on his beloved Texas Longhorns & Dallas Cowboys, and playing games around the dining room table with anyone brave enough to accept the challenge. His work at Aviat, and the related travel, brought him much satisfaction.
Bob had an enthusiasm for life that was a blessing to all who knew him.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Kelly and his son, Nathan; his parents, John & Cindy Spencer;
his sister, Jennifer Willis & her husband, Richard; and his in-law family, Walt & Sharon Downing, Julie Fey, Mandy Tyler & her husband, Jon, and niece & nephew, Emily & JT. Beyond those named, there is an extended family and many friends and coworkers that will miss Bobby so very much.

While his days were way too short, he leaves us with so many wonderful memories of a life lived with joy.

Bobby, we will miss you. We love you. Rest well.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Canyon Lake United Methodist Church (206 Flintstone Dr., Canyon Lake, TX) at 2 PM on Saturday, July 23rd.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the New Braunfels Humane Society or Communities in Schools.
