Polly Angle,

Tammy Marroquin, Executive Assistant/Office Manager

Previous to her hiring she served fifteen consecutive years as the elected District Clerk in a small west Texas community.  She worked for Fisher County for over 17 years before deciding to move to the beautiful Texas hill country. During her professional career she has also been employed as a chief deputy clerk for tax assessor, administrative assistant to a school district, a legal assistant and has even spent time working as a banker teller. During this time she has accumulated many hours of continuing education pertaining to these administrative positions.

Growing up as the daughter of a preacher Tammy has always been an active church member, but never in her wildest dreams imagined that this association would lead her to CLUMC. God truly has a plan for us all!

When Tammy’s not working she enjoys spending time with her best friend and husband Chris, as well as their family; son Andrew and wife Mara, daughter Sara and husband Andy, daughter Madison and husband Nathaniel, and five grandchildren, Aiden, Aubrey, Ella Kate, Hunter, and Audrey Faith. Tammy’s family brings so much joy and happiness to her life that she revels in every chance she gets to spend with them. She loves rag quilting, traveling, reading, listening to her son in laws band, and spending time at the lake.

Tammy is extremely excited to be a part of CLUMC, and looks forward to her future as a productive member of the staff.  She treasures the fellowship that she shares daily with like minded Christian followers, and she appreciates the value of great friendships!

Kendra Murphy, Preschool/Mother’s Day Out Director

I have a passion for working with young children and believe that it is my calling to teach them.  I desire to educate the children of our community about God’s love, engage them in experiences that will foster exploration about His early creations, and encourage them to use their unique gifts to serve His purpose.

I was born in Corpus Christi and grew up in the Bulverde/Spring Branch area.  In 2000, I moved to Canyon Lake with my husband and we began raising our two wild and wonderful boys.  My youngest son attended the Methodist Day School in 2009, and I recall my fondness for the program and appreciation for the many benefits that he would receive.  The school also allowed me to be able to continue my education and earn my Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas State University.  Life has come full circle, and now I am blessed to be the Director of such a passionate program!

I believe preschool can provide children with a solid foundation for a lifetime of learning, and it sets them up for a positive experience about school.  I look forward to helping children discover and learn about the world around them.  I am available Mondays and Wednesdays for appointments and visits, and I would love to show you what our program has to offer.
